Joyce Margaret Tenpenny, 76, Prescott, Arizona, went to be with her Lord on Oct. 30, 2022.
Joyce was born on Nov. 14, 1945, in Watertown, to the late Franklin and Helen (Mundt) Borchardt. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1963. She worked at Nasco in Fort Atkinson, and Swiss Colony and Janesville Data Center, both in Janesville. After moving to Burlington in 1974, Joyce worked for Aurora Medical Center until her retirement in 2010.
Joyce married Pete Tenpenny in August of 2006, in Fellowship Hall at Fairhaven Senior Services. Her parents were residents there, and it was so important that they could attend the ceremony. In October of 2019, Joyce and Pete moved to Arizona permanently.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, word search puzzles, sitting on their porch, watching the Hallmark Channel and Touched By An Angel, and going for rides with her husband.
Joyce is survived by her husband Pete; daughter, Patti (Mike) Hoppus of Racine; son, Scott (Tina) Drew of Burlington; step children from a previous marriage, Jeff Scott, Brenda Anderson, Brian Scott and Jenny Willner; grandchildren, Matthew (Heidi) Drew, Melissa (Jesse) Boyd, Mallory (Luke) Poggensee and Shauna, Daniel, and Marissa Drew; great grandsons David Drew, Chaz Drew, Landon and Reed Boyd, and Dawson Poggensee; sister, Shirley (Jerry) Brown; brother, Ken (Caryn) Borchardt; sister-in-law, Dana (Pat) Dietschweiler; and many nieces and nephews.
