LuAnn E. Warren, 72, passed away at her home in Burlington, on Friday, June 30, 2023.
LuAnn was born on April 28, 1957, to Francis and Lunetta (nee Daniels) Weis. She spent her early life in Burlington. She graduated with an associate degree in cosmetology. LuAnn was a lifelong resident of Burlington.
On Oct. 27, 1973, LuAnn was united in marriage to Joseph J. Warren. Following their marriage they resided in Burlington. Joseph preceded her on Sept. 10, 2014. LuAnn later found the second love of her life, Jim Kurth.
LuAnn was a hairdresser at Eugene’s Beauty Shop and later worked for herself at Hair by Red and LuAnn. She was a member of St. Charles parish, member of the Parish Council, and previously worked on the school board at St. Charles. She was also an active member and participant in many Parish activities and festivals.
LuAnn was always looking out for others and helping people. She was always there with a smile, helping hand and a plate of cookies. She was the happiest when serving others. LuAnn was always doing the residents’ hair at Pine Brooke Pointe.
LuAnn is survived by her children, Michelle (Mike) Johnston and Ryan (Kim Gottsacker) Warren; grandchildren, Joshua Johnston and Tate Johnston; fiancé Jim Kurth; siblings, Peg (Paul) Daniels and Russell (Debbie) Weis; sisters-in-law, Judy Weis, Kay Weis and Shirley Tenwinkel; grand-dogs, Josie and Skye; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
LuAnn was preceded by her husband Joe Warren; parents Francis and Lunetta Weis; brothers, Jerry Weis, Clayton Weis, Roger Weis, and Dan Weis; brothers-in-law, Bernie Tenwinkel and Donnie Warren; and her mother and father-in-law Arthur and Cathryn Warren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Charles Parish or Love Inc.
A Mass of Christian burial for LuAnn will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. In keeping with LuAnn’s wishes, no visitation will take place prior to the service.
