Mark E. Pippin, 73, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center Burlington.
Mark was born on Sept. 22, 1950, in Richland Center, to Beauford and Patricia (nee Button) Pippin. His early life was spent in the Bohners Lake area. He graduated from Burlington High School and attended UW Whitewater. On Nov. 5, 1977, he was united in marriage to Tara Gutzler at Burlington Congregational Church of Christ. Following marriage, they raised their family in the Bohners Lake area.
Mark owned and operated T&J Trophy in Burlington and was a member of the Burlington Conservation Club where he enjoyed shooting trap. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and playing cards.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Tara; children, Leah Pippin, Drew (Niccole) Pippin, and Paige (Adam) Bower; grandchildren, Belle and Harper Pippin, and Paisley, Bexley, and Brock Bower; siblings, Debbie (Terry) Ruh and Jeff (Sandee) Pippin; sister-in-law Liz (Bill) Breuer, brother-in-law Mike Malone and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lynn and mother-in-law Jean Malone-Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest that any memorials be made to an organization of your choice to support cancer research.
Mark’s family would like to thank Jennifer Zinkle and all of the nurses at Burlington Memorial Hospital on the 2nd floor, for all of their care and support.
A gathering to celebrate Mark’s life will take place next summer.
