Michael “Mike” Arthur Paegelow, 77, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.
Mike was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 20, 1945 to Arthur and Ruth Paegelow.
Mike graduated from Messmer High School in 1963 and obtained a degree in fluid power from MATC. He was a successful fluid power technician and salesman for several years before he and his partner started their own hydraulic equipment company, Hyquip Inc. of Waukesha, in 1989.
Mike enjoyed swimming, fishing and boating with his family at their beautiful home on Bohners Lake in Burlington. He and Audrey loved driving around Wisconsin with their car club in Mike’s vintage GTO.
Mike is survived by his wife Audrey (Wilson); children Holly (Jim) Haas of Muskego and Ryan (Gina) Paegelow of Kansasville; grandsons Benjamin and William Haas, and Calvin Paegelow; brother and sister-in-law Dick and Debbie Paegelow; best friend Ray; beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Mass was held in Mike’s honor on Jan. 29, 2023. A memorial service will be held in Wisconsin at a future date.
Mike was my husband, lover, companion and rock for 55 1/2 years. He was a wonderful loving father of our two children and we will miss him dearly.
