Peter A. Tenhagen, 59, of Burlington, chose on Dec. 7, 2023, to leave this Earth.
Peter was born on June 13, 1964 to Richard “Red” and Joanne (nee Kiekenbush) Tenhagen. His early life was spent in Burlington, where he graduated from Burlington High School.
Peter owned Pete’s Power Center and was a meticulous worker with small engine repair. He enjoyed watching auto racing, both Nascar and Sprint Car Racing. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and was always willing to help anyone who needed anything fixed. He was a mechanic for go-cart racing and motorcycles.
Peter is survived by his mother, Joanne; siblings, Diane (Art) King, Roger Tenhagen, June (Scott) Ebert and David (Laurel) Tenhagen; sister-in-law, Chris Tenhagen; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Richard J. and Philip Tenhagen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peter’s family.
The family would like to thank the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, Town of Burlington Fire and Rescue along with a special thank you to Kristan Binninger and Andrew Beverly from the Racine County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A visitation for Peter will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home.
