Robert G. Peltzer, 85, of Kewaskum, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Kettle Moraine Garden.
Robert was born in Detroit on July 14, 1937, to Gustave and Amalia (nee Horras) Peltzer. His early life was spent in Detroit and he graduated from Wauwatosa High School in Wisconsin. On Feb. 25, 1978 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Betty Milbaur. Following marriage, they lived in South Milwaukee before moving to Browns Lake. Betty preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 2008.
Robert worked as a bridge crane operator for Enryco in Milwaukee and was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Burlington. He was an artist and enjoyed sketching pencil drawings and painting. He also enjoyed making video recordings, traveling, sitting outdoors, and planting tomatoes and green peppers on the patio. He was also very religious and enjoyed listening to music.
Robert is survived by his children, Linda Pagenkopf, Dennice (Ervin) Thom, Sheila (Fiance Steve Garrett) Merkt and Larry (Barbara) Wolf; and siblings, Richard (Janice) Peltzer, Dorothy Bauernfeind, and Laura Deckert. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, and sister Celia Simmons.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kettle Moraine Gardens and Preceptor Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Burlington.
Robert will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
