Robert J. Mather, 91, of Three Lakes, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Dec. 15, 2022.
Robert was born in Burlington at the Franciscan Montessori in 1931 to Charles and Bernadette Mather. He was the first of their eight children.
Robert grew up in Burlington on the family farm. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting. After graduating from Burlington High School, he married the love of his life Donna (nee Johnson) in September of 1952. Robert was a hard-working man. He was in the home improvement business from 1954 till he retired from his business in 1993. After retirement Robert and Donna moved to Three Lakes, to enjoy the serine lake life. Robert’s family meant the world to him and they enjoyed many years at the lake with him.
Robert and Donna had three children, Debra (William) Eastridge, Christine (Mark) Zusan and Pamela (Larry) Eastridge; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Honey Creek Community Baptist Church, 35512 Washington Ave., Honey Creek. Visitation is from 10 until 11 a.m. with a service to follow.
