Robert M. Walker, 85, of Burlington, passed away on Feb. 6, 2023. Robert was born in Ottawa, Canada, to Robert and Kay (nee McDonald) Walker. He spent his early life in Canada and Milwaukee, graduating from high school in 1955 in Milwaukee. He then attended Hillsdale College on a football scholarship.
On March 15, 1958, Robert was united in marriage to Mary Lou Cartwright. Following the marriage, they moved to Milwaukee. In 1974 they moved to Burlington, where they remained for 49 years. Mary Lou preceded him in death on Aug. 28, 2009.
Robert was an independent Sales Representative for Aetna. He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church. He loved trains and loved to travel. He enjoyed wildlife, especially squirrels. Robert was a supporter of The West Bend Zoo, the Wisconsin Humane Society, the East Troy Rail Road Museum and The Wildlife Conservation.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert E. Walker, Steve (Hope) Walker, JoAnne (Steve) Flynn and James (Amy) Walker; grandchildren, Joshua (Kelly) Walker, Benjamin Walker, LeAnne Walker, Christopher Walker, Aaron (Samantha) Flynn and Laura Flynn; great-grandchildren, Joshua Walker Jr., Wyatt Walker, Noah Walker and Parker Gonzalez; and siblings, David (Mayra) Walker, and Richard (Fay) Walker.
Robert is preceded by his parents Robert and Kay, and his wife Mary Lou.

A Memorial Service for Robert will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Relatives and friends can visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 from 10am until time of service.
