SCOTT W. KOSKI

      Scott W. Koski, 53, of Burlington, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family after a courageous but short illness.

Scott was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 2, 1969, to William and Carol (nee VonGonten) Koski. On Aug. 8, 2008, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Schumann.

Scott worked in car sales and enjoyed fishing, ice fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed camping and taking trips to the Outer Banks and Disney. He was a huge sports fan of all Wisconsin teams, especially the Packers and Bucks. He was very social, loved to entertain and visit with family and friends and enjoyed grilling. His favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas, and he always had fun decorating the house each year.

Scott is survived by his wife, Kimberly; children, Justin (Kayla) Koski, Shyanne (Colin) Barrington, Kaylee Koski and Lucas Koski; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Mason and Sarina; brothers, Kevin Koski and Roger Koski; mother-in-law Phyllis Schumann; siblings-in-law, Jason Kayser and Jodi (Greg) Bernau; and nieces and nephew, Carter and Paige Bernau and Rhythm Koski. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Norman Schumann.

The family would like to thank Advocate Aurora Hospice and Dr. Virani, as well as all the family and friends that have supported him and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for his children’s education, or the American Cancer Society.

A funeral service for Scott will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at Burlington Tap and Smokehouse beginning at 4:30 p.m.
