Vivian “Virginia” (nee Hanlin) Hoernke, 86, of Waterford, found peace on Saturday Aug. 12, 2023.
Virginia was the beloved wife of Donald for 37 years; loving mother of Susan (John) Schneider, Donald (Traci), the late Brian (Nicole) and Lisa (Mark) Gustafson; proud Oma of Teri (Russell), Jaci (Josh), Nathaniel (Kayla), August (Holly), Isabelle, Emma and Alexander; and great-grandma of Virginia and Sam. She is also survived by shared daughter Angie (Tom) Fasanello; shared grandkids Georgia, Fiona, Leland and Eve; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Virginia enjoyed tending to her garden on the homestead in Waterford. She loved being outdoors, riding bicycles, playing racquetball and riding horses. She most loved hosting parties for her family and friends and loved the yearly family reunions with the Hanlin clan.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 at THE VENUE, 2645 Main St., East Troy, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Waterford Public Library in Virginias honor would be appreciated.
