William “Bill” Franklin Powell, 80, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away Oct. 8, 2023. He was born May 3, 1943 in Marietta, North Carolina to the late William Henry and Grace (Bracey) Powell. Bill worked in the automotive industry for over 60 years, up until the week prior to his death.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Susan Ann Powell; children, Scott W. (Teresa) Powell, Pamela S. (Allen) Blosser, and Eric J. Powell; sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Morgan Glascock, Hellen Hammond, Linda Bookhout and Bonnie Mears; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Powell.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Final arrangements and care are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel.
