Albert J. Schmidt, 89, passed away on May 25, 2024, at his residence in Burlington.
Albert was born Feb. 23, 1935, to George and Emma (nee Grossman) Schmidt in Wisconsin. He married the love of his life, Linda M. Mitchell, on March 3, 1963. They were married over 57 years, with the majority of those years residing in Burlington.
Albert worked for Burlington Brass Works and Ardagh Glass for 28 years.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Christine L. (Michael E.) Lois; grandson, Michael A. (Katie Dunn) Lois; and his great-grandsons Oliver M. Lois and Franklin W. Lois.
Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his son, Albert Schmidt Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Lou, Alice, Anna, Henry and George.
A visitation will be held on June 1, 2024, at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:15 a.m. with a time of fellowship to follow. Albert will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery, 701 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington at 1 p.m.
