Alphield “Tubby” Krogstad died on Jan. 16, 2024 at the age of 106. She was born on March 31, 1917 in Wind Lake and resided there her whole life. She graduated from Waterford High School. She spent her work life at Cutler-Hammer (now Eaton Corporation) in Milwaukee. She was a long time committed member of Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake. She also enjoyed gardening, dusting, and celebrating her Norwegian heritage.
Alphield was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Olga Krogstad; siblings, Alf Krogstad, Ragna (Gabriel) Fries, Esther (Alfred M.) Oldenburg, Bob Krogstad, Otto (Evelyn) Krogstad, Rachel (Chester) Alaxson, Ruth (Carlyle) Steinke, Olive Krogstad, and Mardelle Krogstad; and very special friend Norman Leverenz. She is survived by extended family and friends.
Services were held at Norway Lutheran Church. Memorials are suggested for the upkeep of the Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery.
