Ardell C. Juranek, 91, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home.
Born in Burlington on Feb. 2, 1933, he was the son of Patrick and Frances (nee Isferding) Juranek. His early life was spent in Burlington, where he graduated from St. Mary High School. He served in the Air Force for eight years after high school. On Jan. 8, 1955, in Burlington, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Woodward. She preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of Burlington.
Ardell worked as a furnace and AC worker for Brennen and Otto for over 40 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping and was meticulous about his lawn. He also loved playing poker and enjoyed getting together with his friends to play games. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ardell is survived by his children, Patricia Juranek, Michael (Julie) Juranek and Mary Juranek; grandchildren, Laura (Jared) Kraft, Kelly (John) Horton and Andrew (Beth) Juranek; and great-grandchildren, Nolan and Theo Juranek, Charlie and Jack Horton, and Henry Kraft. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Kathleen Juranek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Mary Parish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Friday, May 24 from 10 until noon.
Ardell will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery immediately following Mass.
