Dennis A. Lois, 82, of New Munster, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his home.
Born in Burlington on June 17, 1942, he was the son of Albert and Lillian (nee Schultz) Lois. His early life was spent in New Munster, where he graduated from St. Alphonsus Grade School and St. Mary High School in Burlington. On Jan. 11, 1964, at St. Mary’s in Burlington, he was united in marriage to Judith Breske. Following marriage, they made New Munster their home, and continued to reside there for 57 years.
Dennis worked in sales for Sears for over 35 years and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a Wheatland volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports and was a fan of all Wisconsin sports. He coached boys’ basketball at St. Alphonsus Grade School and loved caring for his lawn.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Scott (Judy) Lois, Pam (David) Walesa and Tricia (Mark) McNaughton; grandchildren, Samantha (Travis) Drake, Jordynn Lois, Taylor Lois, Alex Lois, Kyle (Rylee) Chriske, Haley Walesa, Luke Walesa and Emmett McNaughton; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Mason and Noah Chriske and Charlotte Faellaci; sister, Barb (Mike) Reesman; and in-laws, Gail Lois, Debra (Dan) Vos, Steve (JoAnn) Breske and Joseph Guzzetta. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Gerald Lois and Janice (Gerald) Richter as well as his sister-in-law Barb Guzzetta.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Croix Hospice, especially Jen and Liz.
