Dianne J. Shepard, 75, of Burlington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 at Pine Brook Pointe.
Born in Racine on Dec. 10, 1948, she was the daughter of Randall and Janet Snow. Her early life was spent in Racine, where she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Gordon Seymour. She graduated from Horlick High School. On July 16, 1988, she was united in marriage to William Shepard.
Dianne worked as a nursing assistant in Racine for many years and is recognized widely across Burlington from her years as a crossing guard at Saint Mary’s School where she protected generations of local children from 1994 to 2019.
Dianne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Strangite). She enjoyed visiting and participating in church social events and liked going to country music shows in Elkhorn with her friends. She very much loved life, made friends easily and had an amazing memory. She would ask people with interest about how they were doing and about all their friends, pets, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Carolyn Snow Cribari
She is survived by her husband, Bill Shepard; her brother, Richard Snow of East Candia, New Hampshire; and her stepchildren David, Bill, Mary and Aaron Shepard.
Funeral Service will be held at the Strangite Mormon Church on Spring Valley Road on Nov. 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. followed immediately by a reception.
