DONNA MAE CATHERINE SCHELLPFEFFER

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Donna Mae Catherine Schellpfeffer, of Fond du Lac, sadly passed away at the age 83. She was born to eternal life on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024. Always there when we needed her the most, she offered support, wisdom, and most of all love in abundance.

Donna Mae was born at home in Richfield, to George and Rosella Aulenbacher on Feb. 24, 1941. She was the oldest of six children taking care of them while her parents ran the family farm. She graduated from Hartford Union High School and went on to receive her teaching certificate at Dodge County Teachers College in Mayville. While at Teachers College Donna met the love of her life, William “Bill” Schellpfeffer. They were united in marriage on May 29, 1962.

Together, in Burlington, they built a family of five wonderful children that they centered their lives around. Mom created a home full of love, affection and laughter. She spent her time being a Girl Scout leader, baseball mom, softball coach, Sunday school teacher, avid chocolate chip cookie baker, and the best cheerleader that we could have asked for!

When she was not with her family, she was a loyal employee at Nestlé in Burlington for over 37 years. She had many fond memories of her time there, but most notably was the dear lifelong friendships that she formed during her time.

Mom loved to share her passions of golfing, bowling, traveling, camping, ladies nights out with friends, couples night/dinner clubs, gardening, crafting, card making, baking, sewing, and attending events for her children, with those around her. Her biggest joy was becoming a Grandma (Knock Knock, Grammie) to nine little ones. A devoted grandparent, she spent all her time with the grandkids, attending their plays, dances, games, and everything they were a part of. She enjoyed sewing Halloween costumes, hand making their birthday cards, and celebrating each moment every year. Her Grandchildren were her pride and joy.

As life started to slow down for Grandma she loved to spend time cheering on the Bucks, Brewers, Packers and Caitlin Clark.

Donna is survived by her loving children, Sheila Schellpfeffer of Wiesbaden, Germany, Scott (Mary) Schellpfeffer of Beverly Hills, Michigan, Shawn (Liza) Schellpfeffer of Orlando, Florida, Stacie (Mark) Van Ermen of Cedarburg, and Shannon (James) LaLuzerne of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Sara (Nick), Elise (Jacob), Brooke (Adam), Brett, Julia, Emily, Claire, Courtney, and Lily Mae; and siblings, Daryl, Dave (Patricia), George, Shirley, and Gordy. Donna is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, William. May their love continue in eternal life. Also preceded in death by her parents; sisters-in-law Verniece, Cyndi, Sherry and Janet and brother-in-law Lavern.

No longer by my side but forever in my heart. Love you more!

A private Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

The Schellpfeffer family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support.
