GERALD A. ASPINALL

      Gerald “Jerry” A. Aspinall, 95, of Burlington, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at Oak Park Place in Burlington.

Born in Burlington on Sept. 11, 1928, he was the son of Allen and Mildred (nee Fraser) Aspinall. His early life was spent farming with his family. He graduated from Honey Creek Grade School and Rochester Ag School along with taking a two-year short course at the University of Madison. He served in the US Army in the Korean War front lines in 1951 and 1952. On Oct. 17, 1959, at Honey Creek Baptist Church, he was united in marriage to Shirley Miller. He was a Honey Creek resident for 95 years.

Jerry worked for B.R. Amann & Sons as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Local 139 for 55 years. He was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church all his life. He bowled for over 60 years and bowled a 300 game. He bowled many national and state tournaments and bowled in Burlington and Mukwonago. He also loved fishing, especially ice fishing and enjoyed being outside taking care of his lawn.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Carl (Bobbi) Aspinall, Caryl (Russ) Clark and Curt (Gena) Aspinall; grandchildren, Shirley Aspinall, Dakota Clark and Ryleigh Aspinall; brother, Richard Aspinall; sisters-in-law, Jean Roeder Barbara Miller, and Janeane Aspinall and brother-in-law Robert (Sandy) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dean Aspinall.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place and St. Croix Hospice, along with all the family and friends that have supported them through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church.

A funeral service for Jerry will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Honey Creek Baptist Church. Following the service Jerry will be laid to rest at Honey Creek Cemetery and then everyone is invited to the hall next to the church to visit with the family from Noon until 2:30 p.m.
