James R. Retzlaff, 72, of Rochester, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 at his home.
James was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 25, 1951, to Robert and Joanne (nee Claus) Retzlaff. His early life was spent in Elm Grove. He graduated from Brookfield Central High School with the class of 1970.
James worked as a laborer for Findorf Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and word searches.
James is survived by his son, Travis (Stephanie) Retzlaff; siblings, Susie Rilling, Barbara Retzlaff-Vogt, Elizabeth (Larry) French and Ron Retzlaff; nephews, Sam Vogt, and Dan and Doug Rilling; and close friend, Emily Kolbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bert.
A gathering to celebrate James’ life will take place at a later date.
