Jody L. Regner, 63, of Friendship, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, in Burlington.
Born in Burlington on Aug. 14, 1961, she was the daughter of Leo and Beatrice (nee Gandt) Barbian. Her early life was spent in Burlington, where she graduated from Gateway Technical College with an associate’s degree. On Feb. 23, 1985, in Burlington, she was united in marriage to Thomas Regner. She lived in the Tri-County area most of her life before moving to Friendship six years ago.
Jody worked as a real estate paralegal for Godfrey, Leibsle, Blackbourn and Howarth of Elkhorn. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved her pets, especially the dogs and ducks she raised.
Jody is survived by her husband, Thomas; children, Heath (Tina) Regner and Kristin (Dan) Wenzel; grandchildren, Izabella, Madelyn and Thomas Regner, and Garrett and Gabriella Wenzel; siblings, Gerald (Rose) Barbian, Lawrence Barbian, James (Barbara) Barbian, Joseph (Teresa) Barbian, Jean (Kenneth) Sokolowski, Joan (Robert) Westerhold, Joy (Gregory) Blaha and Jill (John) Lewis; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Barbian and sister Judith Newkirk.
The family would like to thank the Burlington Rescue and Burlington Police Dept. for their assistance during this time.
A Celebration of Life for Jody will be held at a later date.
