Kenneth “Kenny” P. Yanny, 80, of Burlington, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.
Born in Burlington on Nov. 25, 1943, he was the son of Leo and Cecilia (nee Lifka) Yanny. He was a lifetime resident of Burlington, graduating from St. Mary High School and Gateway Technical College. He served in the US Army for four years during the Vietnam War. On April 11, 1970 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Burlington, he was united in marriage to Linda Hurdis.
Kenny worked as a diesel mechanic for Quality Carriers, LLC Elkhorn, Scheurm, Miller & Sons, Yellow Freight and retired from WDVA. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and DAV Chapter 34.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Donna (Jerry) Roth and Joyce Yanny; grandchildren, Jamie and Sara; and sister, Lorette Yanny. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Colette Yanny.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chapter 4 Wisconsin International Harvester Club.

A visitation and funeral service for Kenny were held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors took place at St. Mary Cemetery in Burlington on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024.
