LEONARD A. RAUSCH

      Leonard A. Rausch, 94, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his home.

Born in Burlington on July 25, 1929, he was the son of Jacob and Rosella (nee King) Rausch. His early life was spent in Burlington, where he graduated from St. Mary Grade School and High School. He served in the US Army and National Guard. On June 29, 1957 in Burlington, he was united in marriage to Beverly Bull. Following marriage, they continued to reside in Burlington, of which he was a life-long resident.

Len worked as an auto mechanic for Lynch Chevrolet Buick GMC and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Burlington Historical Society. He enjoyed going to auctions, refinishing antiques and going to car shows.

Len is survived by his wife Beverly; sister Jean Connors; niece Ann Bull; sister-in-law Nancy Rausch; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles “Chuck” (Audrey), Bernard and Joseph, and brother-in-law John Connors.

The family would like to thank Dr. Haider and staff, Hospice and staff, and Deacon George and the Eucharistic Ministers from St. Mary Catholic Church for their care and compassion during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School or the family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 29 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church. Other relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
