PAMELA ANN DRAVES

Pamela Ann “Pam” Draves passed away on Sept. 16, 2024.

Pam was born in Burlington, on Sept. 19, 1953, the daughter of Barbara (Ferber) and Rolland Draves. She was a 1971 graduate of Burlington High School and went on to get her BA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Following graduation Pam traveled to Washington DC to work with the Citizens Committee for Broadcasting. Following that assignment, she returned to Wisconsin working in the travel industry in Burlington and Milwaukee for several years, taking advantage of the opportunity to travel to London, rural China, the Amazon, and other exotic destinations. In the late 90’s Pam moved to the Seattle area to be closer to her brother and to work in the seafood industry. There she spent several years working at sea, living the life of a fisherwoman. Eventually returning shore-side, Pam worked several years in apartment management where she concluded her working career in the Pacific Northwest.

Pam is remembered for her laughter, quick intelligence, love of great food, her passion for Badger and Packer football, and love for Brett Favre, whose life-sized cutout graced her apartment for years.

Pam is survived by her brother Richard (Billie) Draves of Whidbey Island, Washington; cousins Robert (Karen) Ferber, Richard (Mary) Ferber, and Randy (Amy) Ferber, and their families, all of Tucson, Arizona.
