Richard “Rick” Ralph Wood, 66, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2023, at his home in Elizabeth, Colorado, after a short battle with Leukemia.
Rick was born April 20, (Holy Saturday) 1957, to Ralph and Virginia (nee Rueter) Wood. His grandparents were Robert and Alma (nee Zabler) Rueter, and Hiram and Etta (nee Anderson) Wood. Rick graduated from Burlington High School in 1975. He worked in Burlington for many years until moving to Colorado.
Rick is survived by his son Jason Wood; daughter Amber; grandchildren Jayln and Maddie; sisters Nancy (Jerry) Martin, Judy (Jerry) Ketterhagen, and Linda (LeMoine) Worthington; and many nieces and nephews.
Rick is preceded in death by parents, grandparents, and sister Susan Morrow.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family are greatly appreciated.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on April 21, 2024, at Integrity Celebrations Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, with an open house starting at 1:30 p.m. concluding at 3:30 p.m. with a sharing time.
