Robert C. Lory, 83, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at his home.
Robert was born in Elkhorn, on Dec. 22, 1940, the third son of John G. and Maryanne D. Lory. His two older brothers were John R. and Gerald A. His early years were spent on the farm three miles northwest of Elkhorn located on Lory Road.
Robert is a graduate of Elkhorn High School and held a B.E. and an M.S. plus from WSU-Whitewater. He taught high school for more than thirty years before retiring, the last thirty years at Badger High School, Lake Geneva.
Robert married Dorothy Walbrandt on Aug. 10, 1968 and resided at Browns Lake. Robert and Dorothy travelled extensively. They visited Europe, the United Kingdom, the continental United States as well as Alaska and Hawaii, Israel, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Scandinavia, Estonia, Russia and numerous other destinations.
Robert was always thankful for his family and friends.
Services for Robert were held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Schuett-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial took place at Burlington Cemetery.
