SIDNEY S. WEBER

      Sidney S. Weber, 89, of Burlington, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2024 at Oak Park Place.

Born in Brighton on Dec. 1, 1934, he was the son of Albert and Mary (nee Simon) Weber. His early life was spent in Brighton, Lake Geneva and Elkhorn. He served in the US Army. On Oct. 4, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons, he was united in marriage to Rose Wagner. Following marriage, they made Lyons their home. Rose preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 2023.

Sidney worked as a mason tender and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Order of the Catholic Foresters and Dartball Club. He enjoyed bicycling, being outside, gardening and walking. He also loved spending time with his family.

Sidney is survived by his children, Debbie Hegeman and Mark (Debbie) Weber; grandchildren, Katherine (Ryan) Wermes, Lisa (Daniel) Williams, Andrew Hegeman, Peter (Kelsey) Hegeman, Simon (Lauren) Hegeman, Anna Hegeman, Christopher Hegeman, Mary Hegeman, David Hegeman, Stefanie (Jonathan) Dehmlow and Shaun (Sabrina) Weber; twelve (soon to be thirteen) great-grandchildren; and siblings, Maggie (John), Jim (Jean) Weber, Dan Weber and Mary (Carl) Kretchmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings Leonard Weber, Pete Weber and Bernice (Rich) Bassing and son-in-law, Dan Hegeman.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Oak Park Place, St. Croix Hospice, the Koster Family and Kerry Clausen for their care during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Schuette Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery following the mass on Saturday.
