Theresa “Terry” C. Bonton, 86, of Burlington, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.
Terry was born in Waterford on March 24, 1937, to George and Lottie (nee Radziszewska) Elblein. Her early life was spent in Waterford, where she attended area schools. On July 21, 1962, at United Methodist Church in Burlington, she was united in marriage to Jimmie Bonton. She was a Burlington resident for 56 years.
She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Terry is survived by her husband, Jimmie; children, Jeff Bonton, Lisa Bleiler and Linda (Gary) Glauhs; grandchildren, Kelvin Bleiler, Kaitlyn Bonton, Shelby Glauhs, Kyle Bonton, Hunter Glauhs, Chase Glauhs, Tyler Glauhs and Bryson Glauhs; and siblings, John Elblein and Marjorie Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Elblein and niece Pamela Schmidt.
A funeral service for Terry will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 28 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Terry will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove following the service.
