Thomas A. Arndt, 77, passed away from liver and lung cancer on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Tom was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 14, 1946, to Evelyn and Walter Arndt. He was younger brother to the late Robert Arndt, beloved husband to Jane (nee Tuinstra) Arndt, and wonderful father to son Aaron and daughter Lori (Jay).
Tom owned and retired from a successful industrial painting business he built from the ground up. He loved American classic cars, was an extremely talented artist/illustrator, all-around handyman, auto body man and mechanic. He had a fantastic sense of humor, sharp wit and a way with words that brought a smile and laugh to everyone he knew. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, and will be missed beyond words. We can only take comfort in knowing he is reunited with so many loved ones in heaven.
There is a hole in our hearts that won’t be fixed until we can hug you again in heaven. Until then, we’ll patch it with the memories, laughter and stories we shared here on earth. You are loved and missed so much.
Tom is survived by Jane, his wife of 52 years; son Aaron Arndt, and daughter Lori (Jay) Lerbs. He was met in heaven by his parents Walter and Evelyn Arndt and his brother Bob Arndt.
Per Tom’s wishes, a visitation will be held at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr. in Burlington, on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 from 3 to 6 p.m. with a closing prayer and song at 5:45 p.m.
