William R. Paxton, Jr., 91, longtime resident of Fontana, passed to eternal life on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. William was born on Feb. 4, 1933 in Chicago, to the late William Sr. and Martha Paxton. He was a retired Electrical Engineer, Korean War Veteran and member of Delavan-Darien Post #10173.
William is survived by his children Amy Myhre, Ashley Paxton and William Paxton; grandchildren Jennifer Myhre (Robert), Hannah (Dillon) Grandon, Abigail (Nicholas) Walbrandt and Gregory Myhre; great grandchildren Daisy, Willow and River Walbrandt, Duke Gregory Grandon, and Mason and Jake Paxton; sisters Delores Costello and Drucilla Knight; nieces Debbie Cummins, Robin Costello and Denise Smit; nephew Marty Smit; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, niece Cheri Hunter, nephew and godson Robert Costello Jr., brother-in-law Robert Costello Sr., and son-in-law Gregory C. Myhre.
Private Graveside Service was held at Bethania Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
