Carol A. Baumeister, 86, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 at Pine Brook Pointe.
Born in Burlington on Oct. 21, 1938, she was the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (nee Brever) Baumeister. Her early life was spent in Burlington, where she attended St. Mary High School. She was a lifetime resident of Burlington.
Carol was a daycare administrator and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burlington. For many years, she ran a private daycare for area children who have fond memories of “Grandma Carol”. She always took in people who were alone on the holidays to join our large family for a good meal and some laughs. Everyone always gathered at Ma’s for holiday parties and weekend entertainment. Carol also enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening and loved sharing her creations with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her children, William (Diane) Goldbeck, Jody Goldbeck, Pattie (Tom) Reda, John Goldbeck, Casandra (John) Baumeister, Tom (Molly) Lust, Rick Dusing, Pat (Pam) Dusing, Dan (Tammy) Dusing, Gary (Ellen) Dusing and Athena Lancaster; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bud (Linda) Baumeister, Sandy (Tony) Conway, Roger (Cindy) Baumeister, Rick Baumeister and Terry (Bob) Wolf. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Tim Lust and Roger Dusing; children Peggy Goldbeck, Sharon Lucas, Artie Goldbeck, Timmy Lust and Tony Lust; granddaughter, Melissa Goldbeck; and siblings, Ginny Schneider, Margie Winters, Wally Baumeister, Danny Baumeister, Dale Baumeister and Arnie Baumeister.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church Pioneer Programs.
Services for Carol will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home and again on Thursday, Feb 27, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
