CONSTANCE ARLENE PHEIFER

      Constance “Connie” Arlene Pheifer, formerly of Waterford, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, in Altoona.

Connie was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Milwaukee to the late Burgess and Florence (nee Getzky) Besch. She was united in marriage to Frank Pheifer, Jr. on June 6, 1950. Connie and Frank lived a happy and busy life in Waterford. She was involved in her church, St. Thomas Catholic Church, as well as her children’s scouting activities. She enjoyed her vegetable garden and doting over her pet cats and dogs.

Connie is survived by her children, Larry (Denise) Pheifer, Kathy Pheifer (Bob Ward), Michaelene (Mark) Jansen, Eileen (Scott) Howell and Raelene Pheifer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Gail Eberhardt; and many other relatives and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pheifer Jr., in 1991.

The family is very appreciative of the care given to Connie by the staff in the Garden at The Classics at Hillcrest Green and St. Croix Hospice. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her favorite idioms and her love of anything purple.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Waterford. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery.            Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory in Eau Claire is serving the family.
