Jean “Audrey” Bentzler, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 23, 2025. Many people will deeply miss Audrey.
Audrey married Ronald R. Bentzler on Sept. 10, 1966, at St. JohnKanty’s Church in Milwaukee. They started a family in Milwaukee and then moved to Waterford in 1974 where Audrey spent the rest of her life.
Audrey was a hard-working and very organized mother who enjoyed raising and spending time with her five children and two grandchildren. She was a great cook who enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her favorite game shows. She also played the accordion, which she learned to play at the age of 12. She supported her grandchildren by watching them play sports and was proud of their achievements. She was always there to lend a kind and loving hand to those she loved and cherished.
Audrey is survived by her children, Lori (Rick) Schultz, Shari (Ken) Hanson, Brian Bentzler, Mark Bentzler, and Keri (Ryan) Denman; twin grandchildren Dayne and Savanna Denman; her sister Barbara (Rick) Paszkiewicz, sister-in-law Sharon Wlodek, brother-in-law Terry Nardelli, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alois and Johanna (nee Nowicki) Wlodek, brothers Bob and Richard Wlodek, and sister Arlene Nardelli. Audrey is also preceded by her husband, Ronald, who passed away in 2008.
Services to honor Audrey’s life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr. in Burlington. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2:20 p.m. A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service.
