LARRY W. FLEMMING

      Larry W. Flemming, 84, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove.

Born in Burlington on April 27, 1940, he was the son of Leslee and Ruth (nee Musilak) Flemming. On Sept. 19, 1964 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford, he was united in marriage to Joan Weinborn. Following marriage, they made Burlington their home. He was a lifelong Burlington resident.

Larry retired after 33 years from Lavelle as a supervisor. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member and officer of The Burlington Blizzard Bugs, Racine County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs and the Wisconsin Association of Snowmobile Clubs. He was also a member of the Racine County Snowmobile Search and Rescue Team for many years. He was a Scout leader for many years for Burlington Boy Scout Troop 373 and was selected to represent Southeastern Wisconsin as Scout Master to the National Jamboree.

Larry loved metal detecting with his son, camping, and was famous for his amazing Dutch oven cobblers and cakes. He also enjoyed woodworking and watching NASCAR and even traveled to see the races in person.

Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan; children, Mike Flemming and Chris (Paul) Voss; granddaughter Haley Voss; sister-in-law Lois Larson; and brother-in-law Ron (Elaine) Baumgart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Gaile Haldeman; sisters Betty Arnold and Sharlene Jacobs, and brother Lynford Haldeman.
