Willard R. Behrens, 82, of Lyons, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at his home.
Born in Milwaukee on March 29, 1942, he was the son of Willard E. and Anna (nee Jusiel) Behrens. His early life was spent in Milwaukee, where he graduated from Pius High School in Wauwatosa. On Dec. 8, 1966 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Buth. Following marriage, they made their home in Wind Lake, followed by Bohners Lake, Rochester and Lyons.
Willard worked in maintenance for Schlitz Brewery. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed watching TV, especially WWE Wrestling. He also played cribbage in his younger years.
Willard is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Carl Behrens, Ann Marie (Larry) Meeks and Michele (Steven) Murphy; grandchildren, Timothy Borup, James Behrens, Robert (Katie) Meeks, Dustin Meeks, Dillon Meeks, Larry Jr. (Briana) Meeks, Page (Spencer) Drummond, Shannon (Brandon) Crites and Aidan Murphy; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Behrens and Diane (Steve) Groh; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Willard, mom and step-father Anna and Ralph, and sister, Sr. Roseann Behrens SSCK .
Funeral Services will take place at 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025. Relatives and friends can visit with the family from 4 until 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
