Trailing by six points at the half, the Union Grove boys’ basketball team scored 37 second-half points in picking up a 64-58 win over visiting Waterford Friday night.
Union Grove improved to 3-1 in the Southern Lakes Conference with the win, a game back of Burlington – a team that UG lost to Tuesday night and which beat Elkhorn 47-33 Friday night.
Grayson Catania hit five 3-pointers for the Broncos, and finished with a team-high 17 points. Union Grove hit 10 shots from beyond the arc in the contest, with Matt Wolff and Andrew Kazikowski adding two each, and Caleb Christianson one.
Jake Steffens led all scorers and Waterford with 19.
