Union Grove’s Lindsay Johnson hit a 3-pointer late in the game Thursday night against Westosha Central, and then hit a free throw after being fouled to give the Broncos a 49-48 victory.
Those four points were the only points Johnson scored in the game, but it got Union Grove its first victory of the season.
Megan Lee led Union Grove with 12 points, while Ashley Miller pitched in eight and Brooke Repta and Alyssa Acker seven each.
In other girls’ basketball action Thursday night, Waterford beat Burlington 59-43, with Stephanie Rank scoring a game-high 22 points for the Wolverines. In wrestling, Burlington beat Wilmot 48-34, and the Burlington/Badger/Wilmot gymnastics team downed Waterford, 144.30-120.05.
