Bronco soccer team struggling

A 4-0 loss to Waterford Tuesday extended the Union Grove High School boys soccer team losing streak to six games.

Over those six games, the Broncos have managed just two scores as the offense has struggled.

Waterford scored early in this game – in the fifth minute – and built a 3-0 lead on a hat trick by Bryan Schuyler.

The Bronco boys kept Waterford off the board in the second half until late, when the Wolverines scored their final goal in the 76th minute.

The loss drops Union Grove to 1-7 overall, and 0-1 in the Southern Lakes Conference.

Vs. Beloit Memorial

The struggles for the Bronco boys continued in a 6-1 loss at home Monday to Beloit Memorial.

Union Grove played a strong first half against a strong Beloit team that is now 7-1 on the year, battling Memorial to a 1-1 tie.

Vs. Kenosha Christian Life

In the second of two games last week, Union Grove dropped a 3-0 non-conference game to Kenosha Christian Life at Kenosha.

Vs. Indian Trails Academy

Jung indicated the Bronco boys came out flat from the very start of this 5-0 loss and were fortunate to not concede a goal until halfway through the first half.

“We were completely outplayed in the center midfield, and Indian Trails did a nice job of spreading us out as the game went on,” Jung said.
