Led by Tess Lavieri and Sarah Eulgen, the Burlington High School girls placed fourth overall at the Racine County Invite played at the Johnson Park Golf Course Monday.
“I could not be more pleased to have two Burlington golfers in the top 10 at the RCI,” head coach Wayne Herrick said. “As a team, I am very pleased with the way our team competed.”
Lavieri shot her all-time low score with a 90, while Eulgen also had an all-time low for 18 holes with a 95.
Danni Robers carded a 100, Ellen Stang a 107, and Jenn Stevens a 109.
The team score of 392 was two strokes behind Union Grove’s 390. The Prairie School won the invite with a 330, followed by Racine Case with a 369.
Badger
On Sept. 6, Burlington took on Lake Geneva Badger at Browns Lake Golf Course and defeated Badger 221-266.
“Overall, our score as a team was higher than any other meet, but we played better than Badger,” Herrick said.
Robers was the medalist, carding a 50.
“This was the first time that she had accomplished this feat,” Herrick noted.
Eulgen continued her effort to make first-team all-conference with a 54.
Stevens added a 58, Lavieri a 59 and Stang a 63. Stang’s score did not count toward the team score.
