The Catholic Central High School girls tennis team saw its season come to an end Monday at the WIAA Division 2 sub-sectional at The Prairie School in Racine.
Most of the players drew top seeds right off the bat, though No. 1 singles player Alex Kurpiel and the No. 1 doubles team of Amanda Dupont and Angelina Hulman won pigtail matches to advance to the main draw.
“By luck of the draw, a couple of girls were able to play feeder matches and secure some solid wins,” said CCHS coach Jenny Smith. “The other matches were well-played against the No. 1 and 2 seeds.
“Overall, it was a fine way to end our season.”
