Male Athlete of the Week
Carson Biedrzycki, Burlington High School boys basketball: If there was supposed to be an adjustment period from boys volleyball to basketball, Biedrzycki didn’t get the memo.
Biedrzycki went out and dominated in Burlington’s first game of the year last week, as BHS downed Kenosha Bradford 79-61.
The senior finished with a career-high 33 points and 19 rebounds against the Red Devils. He hit 10 baskets in the contest, and was 13 of 15 from the free-throw line as well.
In a 48-45 loss to Milwaukee South Friday, Biedrzycki scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds.
Also considered: Alex Hale, Union Grove boys basketball.
Female Athlete of the Week
Megan Jensen, Waterford Union High School girls basketball: Jensen, a senior guard for the Wolverines, did a little bit of everything last week in Waterford’s 61-50 win over Elkhorn.
Jensen not only led Waterford with 15 points – including four 3-pointers – but also had four assists and three steals in the game.
Waterford forced Elkhorn into 21 turnovers in the first half of the contest, taking a 28-17 lead that would hold up for the final margin.
Also considered: Jenn Stevens, Burlington High School girls basketball.
Romo Watch
Anything that could go right, did go right Sunday for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo completed 22 of 27 passes for 303 yards and no interceptions, and finished with a 150.5 quarterback rating on the day.
