Male Athlete of the Week
Gunnar Knight and Jordan Hintz, Burlington High School trapshooting: Both Knight and Hintz notched perfect scores last week in downing previously undefeated Westosha Central.
It was Knight’s first perfect score of the season, while it was the fourth perfect score in six weeks for Hintz.
Also considered: Chris Kaiser, Waterford Union High School boys tennis; Max Shenkenberg, Burlington High School boys track and field.
Female Athlete of the Week
Bekah Shellberg, Catholic Central High School softball: Shellberg’s Lady ’Toppers may only be 2-2 in the last four games, but it’s through no fault of Shellberg’s.
The senior pitcher threw all 28 innings, and allowed just three earned runs. In the process, she also struck out 31 batters while walking just two. She also had a home run in Monday’s 3-0 win over Milwaukee Pius.
The four-game stretch also included an 11-1 win over Racine Park, a 3-0 loss to Racine Lutheran and a 6-0 loss Tuesday night to Kenosha St. Joseph.

Basketball camps
Waterford Girls Basketball will be holding their summer basketball camps the week of June 11-14.
Little Dribblers, for boys and girls entering grades 1–3, will run from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and will cost $30.
Camp for girls entering grades 4-6 will run from 8:30-10:00 am, and camp for girls entering grades 7-9 will run from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The cost of this camp is $45.

Trapshooting
The SE WI SCTP Youth Trapshooting Conference has cleared the halfway point of the 2012 season with a spirited battle amongst three teams at the top of the standings.
Four more weeks remain in the 2012 regular season which will culminate in the SE WI SCTP Conference Shootout at the Waukesha Gun Club on June 9.
The Burlington High School Shooting Team came away on top in the battle of the unbeaten teams by downing Westosha Central 122-110.
The Demons were paced by Gunnar Knight who had his first 25 of the season and Jordan Hintz who carded his fourth perfect score in six weeks. Central was led by Craig Spangler and Christy Schneckloth with a pair of 23s.
Wilmot moved into a second place tie with Central at 5-1 by downing Union Grove 119-113. Joe Asleson carded his second 25 of the season to lead the Panthers.
Milwaukee Marquette used a balanced-approach as five Hilltopper shooters all scored 22s in a 110 to 101 victory over Muskego to even their record at 3-3.
Oconomowoc was paced by Dalton Dunhams 24 to lead the Coony past the Cudahy Packers 105-96 to win their second meet of the year.
Waterford charged past Racine Lutheran 116 to 101 to move to 4-2. Jake Kluetzman paced the Wolverines with a 24.
Lake Geneva Badger won a virtual match 113 to 109 to move to 3-3 on the season. RJ Klade paced the Badger with is second perfect round of the season.
Winners in JV this week were Marquette, Burlington, Wilmot, Badger and Waterford. The Demons Alexa McCarthy scored her second perfect 25 of the season. Charlie Klein of Marquette was the lone 25 for the Intermediate shooters.
