The Catholic Central High School football team posted a 14-12 victory Friday night in a WIAA Division 7 Level One playoff game at Black Hawk.
The Hilltoppers led the entire game – first 7-6 at the half, and then 14-6. Black Hawk scored to pull within 14-12, but CCHS managed to stop the two-point conversion that would have tied the game.
The two other area teams in the playoffs both lost Friday night. Waterford and Waukesha West both scored two touchdowns, but Waterford failed on a pair of two-point conversions and dropped the game 14-12.
BHS, meanwhile, trailed early against Watertown and could never find any momentum, falling 49-14.
