The Waterford Union High School girls volleyball team struggled Saturday at the Catholic Central High School tournament, going 1-3 on the day and finishing tied for third.
The Wolverines played a pair of three-set matches, falling to Franklin 26-24, 21-25, 15-11 but beating Williams Bay 21-25, 25-11, 16-14.
Waterford was swept by host CCHS – which won the tournament – 25-10, 25-12, and Fort Atkinson, 25-20, 25-16.
Junior Bekah Raebel paced the Wolverines with 31 kills and 33 digs.
In a non-conference match Sept. 27, the Wolverines dropped a 25-23, 25-13, 25-17 match against Racine Case.
