The Burlington/Waterford co-op boys swim team traveled to Badger High School in Lake Geneva for a Southern Lakes Conference dual Tuesday and were dealt a 114-55 defeat.
David Jones led the Demons with two victories. Jones won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.43 seconds and then took top honors in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:05.19.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Austin Harris, Bryce Filer, Shaun Weber and Jones won that event, turning in a time of 1:40.80.
Weber was second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.15) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:53.31), and Harris second in the 100-yard freestyle (58.37).
Elkhorn meet
The Demon boys hosted SLC foe Elkhorn Jan. 8 and were defeated 118-52.
Head coach Denita Jones noted that she had many of her swimmers competing in events other than what they normally competed in.
No further details were available.
On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the co-op boys will compete in a meet at Delavan-Darien.
