“(We) just did not play well.”
Those words by Burlington High School head boys’ tennis coach Ken Savaglia told the tale of a 7-0 loss at Muskego Tuesday.
The best opportunity for a win came at No. 4 singles where Brandon Novak lost 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
“(Novak) battled, but just could not get over the top,” Savaglia said.
At No. 1 singles, Andrew Schmidt lost 6-1, 6-0. At No. 2, Alex Oldenberg was defeated 6-2, 6-3; and at No. 3, Conor Shultz lost 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles action, Corey Caldwell and Sam Greening lost 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1; Caleb Hewitt and Austin Petrie lost 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2; and Matt Traber and Sam Fish were defeated 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3.
