The Burlington wrestling teams will be hosting a bowling fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 19, at Town and Country Lanes, 264 S. Pine St.
Last year, through the help of sponsors and bowlers alike, the team was able to attend the state tournament in Madison.
The event Saturday is solely for adults. You can donate through lane sponsorship, program advertising, donations or bowling and raffle tickets.
The cost to bowl is $25. There will be raffle and door prizes.
The Burlington High School wrestling team has won four straight Southern Lakes Conference titles and finished last season sixth in the state. The Demons have qualified for team state two straight years. Coach Jade Gribble was honored by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel last season as the Coach of the Year.
The Karcher Middle School wrestling program continues to have great numbers. Also, the K-8th youth wrestling program has 80 kids.
This year, the high school squad will compete in the two-day Bi-State tournament in La Crosse, an example of a major competition funded by donations and sponsorships.
For more information, contact Gribble at (262) 763-0200, ext. 3125. Bowlers are encouraged to sign up by Oct. 16.
