Burlington (43-3) will attempt to knock off rival Muskego (28-12) for the third time this season.
A month ago at Muskego High School, the Warriors took the first game, but the Demons stormed back with an easy four-game victory. The game two margin was 25-4.
The Lady Demons are red hot, with 21 straight game victories, the equivalent of seven matches. While Muskego struggled to begin the season, the Warriors battled DeForest to five games last night. Emotional victories and momentum can certainly outweigh talent level in volleyball.
Muskego will counter Burlington’s depth and quickness with size, as it boasts a 6-foot-4 middle blocker. However, the Warriors lack the Demons’ experience and savvy.
It’s Muskego’s seventh straight state appearance, and Burlington has made it to Green Bay five of six seasons. The Demons won it all in 2011 and 2012.
PREDICTION: Burlington 3, Muskego 1.
