GRAND CHUTE – After all the dust settled and the monkey pile turned back into a civilized group of young men, the Burlington varsity baseball team lined up to receive its first state baseball championship hardware Thursday night at Fox Cities Stadium, the home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Milwaukee Brewers A affiliate).
The Demons just finished a six-run comeback against Arrowhead to win, 6-4, and claim the WIAA Division 1 title.
According to the City of Burlington Twitter page, there will be a victory parade at 10 a.m. Saturday for the champions.
The route will begin on Kane St. and continue to Milwaukee Avenue before ending up on East Chestnut and Pine streets.
Come on out and support the city’s first-ever high school baseball state championship!
