The Waterford Union High School girls track & field team routed the field and won the Gerald Parker Memorial Invitational May 5 at New Berlin West High School.
The Waterford boys finished fourth in the 11-team field.
The Wolverines competed Tuesday in an invitational hosted by Wauwatosa East at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.
Haleigh Reindl broke two meet records Tuesday, posting a 1:35.81 in the 600 and a 2:16.21 in the 800.
The Waterford girls set meet record in two events May 5. Coach Michele Sittig said every girl who competed for the Wolverines recorded a top-eight finish and scored team points.
Reindl set a meet record in the 400-meter dash, finishing first in 58.09 seconds. Melina Behl, Maddie Bartol, Lauren Muffick and Emma Karpinski set a meet record in 4×100 relay (52.12).
Jayda Obluck, Katelyn Puetz, Reindl and Kacie Karczewski won the 4×800 relay in 10:37.20.
“It was a very well-rounded performance for our team,” Sittig said. “We had some great personal records on the track, and our field event athletes really came through for us.”
Reindl, Karpinski, Miranda Meyers and Behl finished second in the 4×400 relay (4:28.59).
Cassie Questad finished second in the 100 hurdles (17.82) and 300 hurdles (53.58). Questad ran with Ellie Werner, Annie Benavides and Miranda Meyers on Waterford’s second-place 4×200 relay.
Olivia Busch finished second in the triple jump (34-4.75) and Annie Benavides finished second in the long jump (15-7).
Miah Nielsen finished second in the discus (92-10) and shot put (30-10.5).
Obluck finished third in the 1,600 (5:50.36) and Katelyn Puetz finished third in the 800 (2:39.36). Ashley Hancock finished third in the discus (86-3) and Meyers finished third in the high jump (4-10).
Sean Pritchard finished first in two events for the boys.
Pritchard, Sam Krebsbach, Adam Schubring and Dan Pankowski won the 4×800 relay (8:54.85).
Pritchard won the 800 in 2:04.44. Josh Butscher won the 1,600 (4:34.36).
Butscher finished second in the 800 (2:07.71) and Adam Schubring finished second in the 3,200 (10:45.77).
Krebsbach, Jack Duerst, Butscher and Pritchard finished third in the 4.400 relay (3:40.05).
Chase Obermeyer finished third in the pole vault (10-6).
“Overall, I’m really happy with how the team is progressing and improving as we get closer to the Southern Lakes Conference meet which is only a little over a week away,” Waterford boys track & field coach Jody Johnsrud said.
