Respect and remembrance

City of Burlington Police Department honor guard members Brian Zmudzinski and David Krupp present the colors May 15 during the department’s Police Officer Memorial Ceremony at Veterans Terrace. The ceremony honored Officer Hubert “Pink” Schenning and Sgt. Anthony Eilers, who were killed in the line of duty in 1935 and 1962, respectively.
